1/19/07:
I am able to log into the admin panel , but is the install really complete since I did not get to do step 9thru 11?

I have made it through step 7 of the install and proceeded to the next step of install, but the next screen is completely blank. I checked my database and it seems that the db structure was created, but I cannot get any further in the install to step 9 about the search engines/browsers. Any ideas?

Hello Lisa,

Could be 2 reasons:

1. You didn't upload all the files correctly via FTP, in which case you'll need to re-upload them and make sure that none of the files from the distribution archive fail to download silently.

2. A PHP/MySQL error occurres during the installation and in due to your PHP configuration the errors are not printed out in the browser, thus you see a blank page.

I had that problem on my local XP box. But when I logged in to admin it was all working fine. Don't know what the deal was. I've installed with no issues on my Linux server.
